Charlie Murphy Made A Chappelle Show Reference On ‘Power’ Last Night?

Starz’s series POWER came back to fans for their fourth season of the show this weekend. As you may know; Charlie Murphy worked on the set of the series before his passing this year. On the show he takes on the role of Marshal Williams who is a prison guard that ends up working in the same facility as the show’s main character, Ghost. Last night as many watched the series still in disbelief on Charlie’s passing we did notice a reference from Murphy on The Chappelle Show. In The Chappelle Show’s Mad Real World Sketch we saw Murphy, Chappelle, and others spoof The Real World series on MTV. The sketch revolved around a black cast being joined by a white cast member with Murphy on the cast as an ex-con. At the end of a scene in the sketch; Dave’s character could be heard yelling “Night, Night…. Keep your…..” to the white cast member when he found out Murphy will be his roommate. Now on Power last night Charlie Murphy ended up saying the same lines to Ghost as jail cell doors came to a close. We cover it in a new Comedy Hype News above.
